ATOAI Fellowship Dinner

ATOAI organised the fellowship dinner on 3rd February at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The event was co-hosted by Madhya Pradesh Tourism and was represented by the AMD Ms. Tanvi Sundriyal. Mr. Pushkar Singh, CEO of MP Eco Tourism Board was also present at the event. Ms. Sundriyal and Mr. Singh made a joint presentation on the adventure and nature tourism options in Madhya Pradesh. She informed about various sites available for adventure sports activities in MP. As a part of the 2016 Tourism Policy of the state, they have launched subsidy scheme for Adventure Tourism, Water Tourism, Water Sports, Cruise/House boat, Water transport, Amusement Park, Light & Sound show, Laser show, Camping(including tent). More information on the subsidy can be obtained from their office in Bhopal. This was the first time MP Tourism has made a public announcement on the subsidy as well as land allocation offers for tourism promotion in the state. MP Tourism also plans to establish over 300 wayside amenities on National and State Highways at every 40-50 km stretch to provide quality rest, food and amenities to tourists travelling by road. They have three business models for wayside amenities. MP Tourism is very open to have discussions with potential promoters/investors in order to develop the adventure tourism segment in the state. The fellowship dinner was attended by old and new members of the association. On the occasion the ATOAI team shared their thoughts on membership drive, new website of ATOAI and skill development workshops in other states also.
